Detailed design services develop concept designs into manufacture ready specifications.

Once a concept design has been defined, our product design teams use the latest computer technologies to generate simple 3D models illustrating basic form and functionality (Block CAD).

These block models permit assessment of the design in universal views and enable clients to decide key characteristics such as; size, shape, aesthetics, functions and control layout.

Further detailed design development builds complex 3D CAD models to achieve specified characteristics and enables designs to be carefully checked and refined before resources are committed to prototype manufacture.

Prototype testing generally surfaces new design considerations that are incorporated into final 3D models. These detailed models can be used to create HD visuals for commercialisation activities and will generally be used to manufacture a small number of final prototypes.

Proven designs can then be translated into detailed 2D drawings that facilitate the commercial manufacture and assembly of the product (D.F.M.A).
